Sam Pouth is a lively girl of age 12. Her wavy, dark brown hair is pulled back into a low ponytail with shorter pieces falling around her young face. Her eyes inspire beauty, and her smile welcomes every stranger. All she wants is to hold your hand and be near you. She's also extremely playful. I've spent countless hours playing games with her while sitting on the rough cement at the back of the center. She tries her hardest to explain the game with her limited knowledge of English and exaggerated hand gestures. Her best quality is her patience because she never becomes frustrated, despite however long it takes me to catch on.
In English class, she repeats the words that I read out to the class the loudest so that she knows that I can hear her. She stays after class and continues to ask me questions. She wants her pronunciation to be perferct and make sure that she fully grasped the day's lesson. She is a bright young girl eager for knowledge and attention.
She primarly comes to Tiny Toones every day to study English. She also enjoys learning how to b-girl in the back of the center where there peer mentors host a girl only dance lesson. She has attended the classes atthe center for a year now.
When she grows up, Sam Pouth hopes to become a doctor so she can take care of her mother who has raised her as a single parent.. Her mother has made a living by selling vegetables at the market, once her father has passed away. Fortunately, she has the steadfast love of her mother and a strong relationship with her sister Srey Toum, who also attends Tiny Toones.
This beautiful, young girl is an amazing inspiration to all who have the chance to meet her. Her heart is welcoming and her mind is open. All she wants is someone to hold her hand.
