Tiny Toones US Tour - 2009 Information
Thank you to our talented volunteer Erik Schwan for designing the awesome tour poster!

Please join us at one of the many upcoming Hip-Hop fundraisers for Tiny Toones! Seven of the Tiny Toones' peer mentors (age 16-23), who were former street kids that have grown into the big brothers and big sisters of the program, will be performing live at each event!

Events will feature a photo gallery, taken by award-winning photographer Stuart Isett in December 2008, following the vibrant story of the life of Tuy Sobil, a.k.a. ‘KK.” The founder of Tiny Toones will video stream live via Skype for the audience to ask questions.

KK is a Cambodian refugee from Pol Pot’s killing fields who grew up on the streets of Long Beach, California in the 1980’s, amongst its gangs, drugs, and crime. KK was deported back to Cambodia in 2004, a country he barely knew and with a language he could barely speak. Learn how one remarkable individual has overcome all odds and brought Hip-Hop culture to thousands of children in Cambodia, giving them hope for a better future.

The students of Tiny Toones struggle daily, coming from broken families and living in the urban poverty of Phnom Penh. Through Hip-Hop music, breakdancing, and education, the Tiny Toones center is an oasis for many of these street kids, keeping them away from the problems of gangs, drugs and sexual exploitation. Tiny Toones provides the children of Cambodia with a place to dance, room to study, strong role models to follow, and a reason to believe in a better tomorrow.

Gear, photos, artwork, and music album by the kids and supporters of the program will all on sale. All proceeds go towards helping the youth build their dreams!
